The Department for Environment, Food and Rural affairs deals with conservation of fish stocks, fish quotas, and the Common Fisheries policy; economics; statistics; finance and personnel.
 
DG FISHERIES is the Directorate-General responsible for the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), which covers all fishing activities, the farming of living aquatic resources, and their processing and marketing, on the legal basis of Article 33 (ex 39) of the Treaty establishing the European Community.

BIM, Bord Iascaigh Mhara is the Irish State Agency with responsibility for developing the Irish seafood industry.  
The Food and Agriculture Organization was founded in October 1945 with a mandate to raise levels of nutrition and standards of living, to improve agricultural productivity, and to better the condition of rural populations  
   
The Seafish Industry Authority's remit is "to exercise its powers to promote the efficiency of the sea fish industry and serve the best interests of that industry and the consumers of sea fish and sea fish products".

 

 
Seafood Scotland is an organisation whose principle aim is to improve the value return of fish for the Scottish Industry. Seafood Scotland was set up by the main representative bodies of the Scottish Seafood Industry to promote, market and develop Scottish Fish.  
The Global Aquaculture Alliance is an international, non-profit trade association dedicated to advancing environmentally responsible aquaculture.  
The Organisation manages the fishing activities of its members in all fisheries making it one of the largest fisheries managers in Europe.  
   
The National Federation of Fishermen's Organisations is the representative body for fishermen in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.  
Save Britain's Fish is an organisation dedicated to the repatriation of the UK's Economic Fishing Zone from the CFP, the Common Fisheries Policy.
